We are always interested in talking to tutors with experience in teaching adults, particularly in the following areas:

  • Community Outreach  – confidence building / employability skills / basic IT for jobseekers
  • Family Learning – helping parents gain confidence in their English and maths skills and supporting parents with early years development
  • ALDD – working with learners with learning difficulties and disabilities
  • Functional Skills – English and maths
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages
  • Creative Studies
  • Languages
  • Health and Fitness

Do you have an adult teaching qualification or are you a qualified teacher? We can support you to gain an introductory qualification if not.

Courses are held in community venues and adult learning centres throughout Buckinghamshire and sessions are usually 2 hours per week.

Successful applicants will join a “pool” of tutors who are allocated work according to demand. These are sessional tutor positions but fractional tutor posts may be available for the right candidates.

Learning Support Assistant

Learning Support Assistant required for a 12 week traineeship course. This is an education and training programme that prepares young people for work.

  • Working hours: Part Time – 18 hours a week earning £10.91 per hour

Learning Support Assistants (County Wide Posts)
  • We require Learning Support Assistants at a variety of locations across the County  specifically:High Wycombe: English class –Thurs 0930-1130Aylesbury: ESOL class Mondays and Wednesdays 0930-1145, Cookery for adults with learning difficulties: Monday 1000-1200

    Amersham: Maths Tuesday 1230-1430

    Stoke Poges Cookery class for adults with learning difficulties  Wednesday 1000-1200

    Chesham: ESOL Tuesday and Thursday 1230-1445

    You will be paid an hourly rate of £10.91 per hour . Hours will be negotiated but you will be expected to work a minimum of 2 x 2 hour classes per week.
