68% of our learners achieved 9-4 grades in English language and 66% achieved 9-4 grades in maths. The reformed exams are graded 9 to 1, with 9 being the highest and grade 4 a standard pass.
Mike Appleyard, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills said of their achievements: “These results are a fantastic achievement for all adult learners who are often juggling other demands of work and family life. Many of them left school without any qualifications and these results will give them another opportunity to fulfil their potential and maybe find a new career. I congratulate them on their achievements and to the tutors, learning support assistants and volunteers for the dedication and support they’ve given to enable the learners to succeed”.
