Learn something new this year and develop your computer skills.

Our courses offer learners the opportunity to become part of the digital world. Why not come and learn practical skills in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere?

Our experienced tutors will provide you with the support you need to use a computer either in a taught class or by online learning. You can learn for pleasure or to gain a qualification. Courses will help you to:

  • Gain a nationally recognised qualification.
  • Use email to keep in touch with friends and family.
  • Help your children learn.
  • Surf the internet for shopping and information.
  • Organise, edit and print your digital photos.
  • Create your own spreadsheets to keep track of
    your money.

If you have not gained many qualifications in the past, you may find that your course is free and could lead to further qualifications. Contact us to find out if you are eligible.

New courses are added throughout the year. For the latest updates please search for a course or call us on 0845 045 4040.

Gain a Qualification

Starting with the "Beginners Computer Certificate Part 1" course for complete beginners, learners can then progress on to Parts 2 and 3 which builds on the knowledge and experience gained in word processing, e-mailing and the internet and introduces spreadsheets. Tests are taken at the end of the course.

The iTQ

The iTQ at level 1 and 2 offers tuition in some of the main Microsoft programs and general knowledge needed in using a computer. An excellent, recognised qualification for learners who are confident in using a computer. An assessment session will be held for those learners wishing to join these courses.

Courses for Interest

For learners with little or no previous experience of computers, our non accredited option is Computers for The Terrified, where you learn about the parts of the computer and the basics of commonly used Microsoft software such as Word and Internet Explorer. You can progress on to further short courses to build on your learning and confidence
and focus on subjects of personal interest, such as Shopping on the Net, Photos and Slideshows, Email, Digital Cameras, and Ms Office programs; such as Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and Excel. You can also learn how to create labels and mailings and keep your computer files and folders tidy. We also offer the BBC's First Click course and continue to offer the online learning course Online Basics.
